Gather the team, the family or the whole crew this Christmas at Father’s Office QV, at 249 Little Lonsdale Street in the QV building, just across from the State Library and minutes from the Swanston Street trams and Melbourne Central Station.
Christmas packages
Christmas 3-course set menu: $69 per person
Available 16 November to 24 December · Minimum 2 people
Share a Christmas Baked Camembert to start, then everyone chooses a main from our Christmas specials, like slow-cooked beef brisket, crispy pork belly or roasted chicken, all served with cranberry & thyme stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and truffle mash. There’s a shared side for the table and an alternating dessert (homemade red velvet cake or New York-style cheesecake), plus a pot of house beer or a glass of house wine.
Cocktail-style balcony functions
Food only $40 per guest · food & one drink $55 · food & 2-hour drink package $99
A 2-hour function with roaming canapés: arancini (mozzarella & Napoli, or mushroom & truffle), vegetable spring rolls, sweet potato fries, cheeseburger sliders, and fish and chips. RSA always applies, and there’s a maximum of 5 drinks per guest.
Christmas specials: $34
From 16 November to 24 December, choose one of four Christmas mains, from crispy pork belly to our Mushroom Wellington, all day, every day.
Our spaces
The Father’s Dining Room, with its pressed metal ceiling and art deco sconces, suits anything from a small celebration to a larger Christmas function. You can also take the Swanston Street Balcony or the Little Lonsdale Street Balcony (both with cushioned booth seating and CBD views), or our cosy cocktail area overlooking the State Library.
Father’s Dining Room
Dining Room: 100–150 guests · Drinking Area: 100–150 guests. Pressed metal ceiling and art deco sconces for anything from a small celebration to a larger Christmas function.
Swanston St Balcony
Swanston St Balcony: 50–100 guests. Overlooking Swanston Street with CBD views, cushioned booth seating and high cocktail tables.
Little Lonsdale St Balcony
Little Lonsdale St Balcony: 100–150 guests. Framed CBD views over the State Library, with cushioned booth seating for large parties.
Cocktail Areas
Cocktail Area 1: 30–35 guests · Cocktail Area 2: 50 guests. Our cosy cocktail area overlooks the State Library.

Good to know: Christmas bookings are open now. We’re closed on Christmas Day and open on Boxing Day. Our hours are Sun to Wed 12pm–10pm (kitchen til 9:30pm) · Thurs 12pm–11pm (kitchen til 9:30pm) · Fri & Sat 12pm–1am (kitchen til 10pm).
